Yaakov not only is blessed to see Yosef again but he also is able to bless Yaakov's children.\n\nThe custom of blessing one's children originates in the Bible. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no further. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.\n\nWhat the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand: The restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening was the Creator's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.\n\nSometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If our Creator allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. When interviewed, Silberbauer admitted his role, and identified Anne Frank from a photograph as one of the people arrested. His statement corroborated the version of events that had previously been presented by witnesses such as Otto Frank.\n\nOpponents of the diary continued to express the view that it was not written by a teen, but was a hoax, with Otto Frank being accused of fraud.\n\nAmerican anti semitism 2016/2017\n\nJews across the United States are increasingly alarmed at the rise in anti-Semitic incidents across the country.\n\nIn December, the New York City Police Department noted a 115% increase in bias crimes in the previous month, with Jews the target of 24 out of 43 incidents in that period. The second letter means a poor person. In a large, low-sided roasting pan, place asparagus in a single layer. Drizzle with oil and garlic. Haggadah Section: Kadesh

The above picture is Yaakov blessing his grandchildren, Ephraim and Menashe. At one time, Yaakov never believed he would see his Yosef again. Yaakov not only is blessed to see Yosef again but he also is able to bless Yaakov's children.

The custom of blessing one's children originates in the Bible. On the eve of Yom Kippur, on Shabbat and holidays many parents lay their hands on the head of each child, blessing them with the priests benediction.

For boys, the introductory line is:

May you be like Ephraim and Menashe.
יְשִׂימְךָ אֱלהיִם כְּאֶפְרַיְם וְכִמְנַשֶּׁה.

For girls, the introductory line is:

May you be like Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Leah.
יְשִׂימֵךְ אֱלהיִם כְּשָׂרָה רִבְקָה רָחֵל וְלֵאָה.

For both boys and girls, the rest of the blessing is:

May God bless you and guard you.
יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה וְיִשְׁמְרֶךָ
May God show you favor and be gracious to you.
יָאֵר יְהוָה פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ וִיחֻנֶּךָּ

May God show you kindness and grant you peace.
יִשָּׂא יְהוָה פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ וְיָשֵׂם לְךָ שָׁלום
