The Worst Plague
As we remember the 10 plagues that God unleashed on Pharaoh, it may be difficult to relate them to our daily lives. While we have not experienced any of those plagues, one other plague is far more rampant than you may think. Poverty affects over 700 million people all over the world. You may ask, what is worse than an invasion of frogs, coming out of all of the river banks. Well, going to sleep hungry and waking up countless times during the night hungry is worse. Feeling too weak to work, or go to school is worse. Coming home and not knowing whether you will have dinner for the night is worse. On this passover, we must remember to consider the plague of our time, poverty.
