Sefirat Ha Omer/Sheaves-counting
ספירת העומר
Counting of the Omer begins on the second day of Pesach as spiritual preparation and anticipation for the giving of the Torah on Shavuot.
Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the Lord.
