Lighting the Candles
If everyone could please take their seats, we're going start the seder with the lighting of the candles.
Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu melech ha'olam asher kid'shanu b'mitzvotav v'tzivanu l'hadlik ner shel (Shabbat v'shel) Yom Tov.
Blessed are You, Adonai our God, King of the universe, Who makes us holy by Your mitzvot and commands us to light the (Sabbath and) festival lights.
Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu melech ha'olam shehecheyanu v'kiy'manu v'higianu lazman hazeh.
Blessed are You, Adonai our God, King of the universe, Who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this festive season.
