Eating a sandwich of matzah and bitter herb | koreich | כּוֹרֵךְ
It is written in the Torah: “They shall eat it [The Passover sacrifice of Paschal Lamb] with Matzah and bitter herbs.” Rabbi Hillel, and scholar who lived while the Temple still stood, used to combine the Passover offerings of the Paschal lamb, matzah, and maror and eat them together in a sandwich. Since we no longer have a Paschal lamb at our Seder table, we now use matzah, maror and charoset, to make the sandwich.
The bottom matzah is now taken and we make a sandwich of matzah, maror and charoset.
Eat the sandwich and then...
