Following the Fourth Cup: I Felt It Through the Pesach Wine

Haggadah Section: Hallel

I Felt It Through The Pesach Wine

(Music: I Heard it through the Grapevine; altered lyrics by Neil Alexander parentheses indicate background voices)

Ooh, I bet you're wondrin' how I knew, the four questions and the answer, too.
I can't believe all the matzah I bought, for the next few days, my bowels won't move a lot.
It took me by surprise, I must say (I must say). The seder lasted till the very next day (very next day).
Don't you know, I felt it through the pesach wine. My body's startin' to recline.
Ooh, you drink four cups of wine. And I'm just about to lose my mind! Honey, honey, yeh.
(Can you tell me how much longer till we eat the matzah, yeh, yeh, yeh, yeh) x2
I know you wash and then you dip the chive. Hide the Afikoman, give the kids some jive.
That poor Pharaoh, he don't care. Got frogs and vermin in his underwear!
You could have told me about the chrain (about the chrain), made me gag but now my sinuses drain (sinuses drain).
Don't you know, I felt it through the Pesach wine. I'm gettin farshikert before its time.
Ooh, you drink full cups of wine. And I'm just about to lose my mind! Honey, honey, yeh.
(Can you tell me how much longer till we eat our dinner, yeh, yeh, yeh, yeh) x 2
People say your charoset is sure lookin' fine.  And Janice, your soup is simply divine!
But my kmish bread's crusty and old, my matzo ball's sinking to the bottom of the bowl.
Do you plan to bench and bench and sing (bench and sing), or ya gonna blow off everything (everything)!
Instead, I felt it through the pesach wine. I'm gettin' sleepy but I'm feelin' fine
Ooh, I've had 4 cups of wine. and I'm just about to lose my mind! Honey, honey, yeh.....
(Can you tell me how much longer till we see Elijah, yeh, yeh, yeh, yeh)
(Can you tell me how much longer till we daven Hallel, yeh, yeh, yeh, yeh)
(Can you tell me how much longer till we sing Chad Gadya, yeh, yeh, yeh, yeh)
Honey, honey, I know....that it's going too slow...
[unison at end] So I felt it thru the pesach wine.
