A Passover Prayer - Poem By Karen
May these feelings of dread
Passover us.
May COVID-19
Passover us.
And also over everyone we love
And over everyone whom we don’t know
But whom others love
And depend upon
For food, clothing, shelter
And loving care.
May the burdens that stressed out parents are shouldering
Passover their trusting children
So that their children are not forever marked by
This Sheltering ordeal.
May feelings of gratitude
Pass into us
And establish permanent residence
In our hearts and thoughts.
May our best intentions
Pass into us
And be carried through us
To reach and comfort everyone we love.
Help us transform our suffering into generosity.
Help us feel gratitude for the strength that comes
From renewing our family bonds.
Amen.
