Tzafun
Finding and eating the Afikomen | tzafoon | צָפוּן
Time to find the Afikomen! We will hunt for the Afikomen and the finder will receive a reward. When the hidden part is found, we will put the two halves together again, as a symbol that what is broken can be repaired through our hard and necessary work. The playfulness of finding the afikomen reminds us that we balance our solemn memories of slavery with a joyous celebration of freedom. As we eat the afikomen, our last taste of matzah for the evening, we are grateful for moments of silliness and happiness in our lives.
