우리가 유월절 이야기를 공식적으로 언급하고 축하 음식으로 전환할 때, 준비를 위해 손을 다시 한 번 씻습니다. 유대교에서는 친구와 가족과 함께 하는 좋은 식사는 성스러운 행위이기 때문에 휴일 예식을 준비하는 것처럼 식사를 준비하고, 고대의 성직자들이 성전에서 예배를 준비하듯이 했던 방법을 상기합니다.
어떤 사람들은 기도를 위해 손을 씻는 것과 음식을 준비하기 위해 손을 씻는 것을 구분하는데, 손에 물을 붓는 방법을 달리하면서 구분합니다.
음식을 먹기 전에 손을 씻을 때는 오른 손에 물을 세 번 붓고 그리고 나서 왼손에 세 번 물을 붓습니다.
양손에 물을 부은 다음에 이 짧은 축복을 낭독하세요.
בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָֽׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתָיו, וְצִוָּנוּ עַל נְטִילַת יָדָֽיִם
Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech ha-olam, asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav v’tzivanu al n’tilat yadayim.
바룩 아타 아노아니, 엘로헤이누 멜렉 하올람, 아셰르 긷샤누 베밋츠보타브, 벳지바누 알 느틸랏 야다임.
손을 씻도록 우리에게 명하시고 의무를 통해 우리를 성스럽게 하신 만물의 통치자 하나님을 찬양합니다.
