Lighting the candles
Here we are...our lives enriched by being together. We add light to the world with our presence, our actions and our kindness. We can also add light symbolically. Tonight is the beginning of Passover and also Shabbat. We light the candles and say these words:
Baruch Atah Adonai
Eloheinu Melech Ha-olam
Asher Kid'shanu B'mitzvotav
V'tzivanu L'hadlik Ner Shel Shabbat
May we find a way to see the Passover story in whatever ways are meaningful to each of us, individually.
