I Just Can't Go to the King
I Just Canât Go to the King
to the tune of âI Just Canât Wait To Be Kingâ
(Moses)
Iâm gonna see a mighty king.
Iâm feeling mighty scared.
(Aaron)
Well, Moses, Iâll be there with you
So youâll be well prepared.
(Moses)
Iâve never been too good with words.
I stutter and I squeak.
My hands are wet, my throat is dry
Each time I try to speak.
(Aaron)
Well, Moses, donât be scared about a thing.
(Moses)
Oh, I just canât go to the king!
Iâll be saying, âDo this.â
Iâll be saying, âSee them.â
Iâll be saying, âStop that.â
Iâll be saying, âFree them."
Free them all to leave today.
Free them all to live Godâs way.â
(Aaron)
The Pharaoh needs to know he needs to
Have a change of heart.
Or God will make his cows get sick
And make the Red Sea part.
(Both)
The two of us will go tell Pharaoh,
âLet my people go.â
We know exactly what weâll do
if Pharaoh tells us no.
Weâll warn him of the plagues that God will bring.
Oh, weâre both gonna go to the king!
Weâll be saying, âDo this.â
Weâll be saying, âSee them.â
Weâll be saying, âStop that.â
Weâll be saying, âFree them.â
âHave respect for every living thing.
Pharaoh, donât be such a dingaling.â
Now this will be our final time to sing:
Oh, weâre both gonna go to the king!
