Had Gadya in Judeo-Arabic
The Judeo-Arabic version of Had Gadya included in Shelomo Belforte’s Haggadah published in Livrono for the Jews in Baghdad, 1935.
Judeo-Arabic is a collection of Arabic dialects spoken by Jews living in the Arab world, primarily during the Middle Ages. Some of the most important books of Jewish thought and biblical commentary were originally written in Judeo-Arabic, including several works by Maimonides. Today the language has become marginalized by French and Modern Hebrew.
