Dayenu- Poverty Remix
Is there ever enough for us humans? Do we ever have Dayenu? As humans, we always strive to succeed and gain as much success as possible. For this exact reason, we find it difficult to give to others who have less than us. Those who are in poverty are able to live with 10x less resources than us and still give to others. So why don't we? For the Jews in Egypt, they were gifted everything from God. They were given food, water, shelter and still worshipped an idol. This shows us that if the Israelites couldn't appreciate what they had, it will be as difficult for us to appreciate what we have and thus, we will not recognize the condition that the poor are in. That's why, this Passover we have to try as hard as possible to give to others who have a lot less than us.
