A Blessing: Treating Strangers Justly
The following original blessing expresses some of Judaism's core principles. You can recite when you engage in social justice activities that advance the status of groups that suffer neglect or discrimination. Recite it after your discussion of the questions above.
Blessed are You, our God,who commands us to remember that we were strangers and slaves in Egypt, and are thus obligated to treat with justice the stranger who resides among us.
